Kaycee tugged hard and was surprised by how fast Lore did come up. With a sigh, she collapsed on to her comfortable bed and laid there for a moment. After a few seconds of breathing, Kaycee sat back up, crossed her long and elegant legs, and faced Lore in a business-like way.
She uncrumpled the note she had stashed in her first during the endeavor of pulling him up and smoothed it out on her lap. So, she began, looking up at him with anticipation. I want to hear this explanation for this paper here and you hanging outside my window by a mere shoe?

verloren devereux BOUND TO DRIVE YOU WILD he'd leave you longing for black velvet and that little boy's smile, black velvet with that slow southern style, a new religion that'll bring ya to your knees, black velvet if you please [/color]
Well...
He started, pausing for a moment, trying to figure out how to word it. No matter how he did, he sort of sounded quite a bit more soft-hearted than he liked, so he sighed, running a hand through her hair until the palm was against the back of his neck, then let it drop and continuing.
I... kinda felt bad about taking your sweater. So I brought it back. Getting in this place was much easier than getting into Cardiff Castle, so....
At this point he shrugged like it had been nothing, and, really it was. In reference to Cardiff castle, he didn't actually take anything, but he had broken in on a dare a few years back, and it was still a proud point to bring up.
As for the hanging, normally I can get out without falling, but kinda came in and I tried to rush. Always a bad idea when scaling a wall. Always.

Kaycee was tapping her fingers on her legs as she waited but when she saw how nervous Lore was, her expression gentled. Hesitantly, she reached over and took his hand in hers. And she had to laugh when he spoke about falling. An image of him dangling from the window of the Corporation flashed in her mind.
Well I guess I should thank you for returning my sweater. She began, not sure if he was going to pull away or not. Why did you rush though? You didn't want me to see you? She asked, perplexed.

His eyes widened a bit in surprise when she took hold of his hand, but he didn't pull away. He hadn't expected any sort of sympathy, or whatever this strange kindness was supposed to be called.
The first thing I learned as a pickpocket was to avoid people who were angry at me; Prevented getting caught.
He murmured softly. It was so common to him to know he was a thief that he never even realized she actually didn't know. Or, at least, he hadn't told her; She might know anyway.
He hesitantly sat down on the bed next to her, missing his bracelets already. He much preferred to have something to keep his fingers busy in moments like this. It distracted his mind, kept him from acting on instinct and running from anything uncomfortable, including nervousness.

Kaycee herself pulled her hand away from Lore's at his wide-eyed expression.Maybe that had been uncalled for. She used it to play with her hair instead.
She wasn't surprised he had been a pickpocket, nor did she judge him for it. Kaycee herself did so many sins are just a weekly basis- she couldn't really be shocked at his.
Well, she said to hopefully erase his glum face. Kaycee didn't really like people being upset unless she was enjoying it. I hope you don't feel caught now. You can leave, if you want to. She added hesitantly, not sure if she wanted him to go just yet.

It was quickly becoming apparent that, if she had actually been mad at him before, she certainly wasn't anymore. He'd resorted to playing with the billowing sleeves of his shirt, seeing as he had nothing else to occupied his hands with, though he hardly noticed. His fingers often had minds of their own.
At her reassurance he could leave whenever he wanted, he offered a small smile, clearly beginning to relax again. He noticed her hesitance, though, and it intrigued him, to say the least, so he shook his head 'no', quite happy to stay right where he was. He decided to attempt to lighten the somewhat tense atmosphere.
I was sort of expected twenty questions if you did catch me.
