I've gotta fight today, to live another day. Speaking my mind today,
my voice will be heard today. I've gotta make a stand, but I am just a man.
I'm not superhuman, my voice will be heard today
It's just another war, just another family torn.
My voice will be heard today, It's just another kill.
The countdown begins to destroy ourselves
I need a hero to save me now, I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life, A hero will save me just in time

He wanted a peaceful affirmation of mutant rights, for the co-existence of mutants
and humans in society to be a productive one without prejudice, hate and violence.
He wanted a place for mutants to feel safe, to learn to control their gifts and that
became reality in turning the mansion into a School for gifted Youngsters.
He was one man with a dream; his first students became the X-Men, and through
them they taught others, protected their kind and sometimes the human race.
This secret school was a sanctuary for their kind in this never-ending battle
with the government and society to achieve this dream he set out for. Right
now it seems like a story, something for the history books as the school lay
in ruins after an unknown explosion took the place down and with it a few
lives were lost. After the loss of both the school and the founder the x-men
disbanded and it has been two years since that very day. After the Registration
Act and the failed assassination of Senator Kelly the MRD were given approval
and the mutant ‘bag and tag’ system is in place. There is a storm brewing but
hope is not lost as the man whose dream started it all has returned to reform
the very team he initiated years ago.

Who's gonna fight for what's right? Who's gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives and we're not ready to die.
Who's gonna fight for the weak? Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero living in me
I'm gonna fight for what's right, today I'm speaking my mind
And if it kills me tonight, I will be ready to die
