Nick was bored. Again. And being bored for too long would make him impatient. And if he was impatient he would get cranky. And nobody liked a cranky Nick. He didn't like being left without anything to do for too long. Then he might start thinking about his f- No. He had no family. This was his home now. And he was alone. Surrounded by others, but completely alone. Where was Dark Angel? He needed something to do. Perhaps Dark Angel had some sort of task that needed fulfilling. Whatever it was, Nick would complete it with pleasure. Assuming there was a job. Really, he would do anything. If he couldn't find Dark Angel, or there was no odd little jobs, he'd have to find some other way to entertain himself. There wasn't much in the form of entertainment inside Archangel corporation though, and he didn't particularly feel like going into town. He had already checked Dark Angel's office, and the labratory. He decided to check the room of records next, but he didn't appear to be here either. Nick rolled his eyes and tilted his head back, trying to think of where else Dark Angel could be. He felt something rub up against his ankle and looked down to see a small little black cat rubbing against his leg. The cat looked up at him and blinked, and a small smile came to it's face. Nick kicked the cat in the side, not enough to hurt it, but enough to push it away. Get off Carleton!
The black cat looked at Nick for a moment before growing and shifting until Wilder stood in it's place. Aw Nick! Where's your sense of fun? He had a huge grin plastered on his face. He obviously didn't care about the fact that he had just been kicked or yelled at.
Nick's eyes remained cold and emotionless as he stared over at Wilder. Have you seen Dark Angel? He asked, clearly ignoring Wilder's question.
Wilder shrugged. Might have. Might not. He leaned casually against the wall, a smirk on his face. Why? Does it matter?
Nick rolled his eyes. He should have known he was wasting his time with Wilder. All the other boy cared about was joking around and making everyone else's life difficult. Possibly. Now have you seen him?
Wilder's response was to shrug again. When Nick let out a growl, Wilder's smirk turned into a laugh.

Jace rolled his eyes as he walked past the two bickering Archangels. He had only caught Wilder's taunting but sooner or later the fight would escalate and then there would be two cranky boys in the dorm room. Disturbing.
Will you just shut up for a few minutes? This is a place of work... for SOME people. He mentioned in his cool calm voice, with just a hint of annoyance.
His sister Kaycee pushed back her dark hair and laughed in a her tinkling way like chimes. Leave them alone brother. Immaturity is in their nature. Right boys? She cooed, batting her bright green eyes at them.
By the way, have either of you seen Dark Angel today? Jace asked, oblivious to the fact this is exactly what Wilder and Nick had been talking about and plainly ignoring his twin's comment and flirtation.

Nick muttered to himself and rolled his eyes. Was Jace seriously asking? Or was this some kind of sick joke everyone in the Corporation seemed to be in on?
Wilder let his head fall back and he laughed. He couldn't help it. This was absolutely perfect. He was loving it and Nick was hating it. Ultimate.
Nick turned his stone cold glare onto Wilder, but the other boy pretended not to notice and continued laughing for a while longer until he settled. It was obvious Nick wasn't going to answer Jace so Wilder took the liberty. Nope. Haven't seen him. In fact, Nick here was just asking the same. He grinned wildly at Nick. Guess nobody's seen him! The man's gone missing! Oh noooo.... He yelled dramatically, as if it was the end of the World. What shall we do? We'll die and starve! Oh noooooo!!!
Nick shot his hand out and smacked the back of Wilder's head. Shut up Wilder! You're so annoying!
Okay, ow Nick. That one hurt. He rubbed the back of his head and stuck his bottom lip out like a pouty child. Lighten up dude. What's the big deal? Why does everyone have to act so serious and find Dark Angel? The pout left his face till he was smiling. You all need to get out more!

Kaycee was studying Wilder. He intrigued her. Though she despised his attitude of only fun and no work, she appreciated his interest in freedom. She considered herself rebellious and sometimes resented the structure of the Corporation despite her love of its purpose. When Wilder laughed, she forced herself to fakely laugh along to capture his interest. You're so funny Wilder. Why are we all so serious? That is a good question. She answered, batting her dark lashes and playing with a strand of black hair cutely.
Jace rolled his eyes. His twin always toyed with people and flirting 101 was her favorite way to do it. He would just be amused if she accomplished it. He in turn was interested in Nick. They seemed to share a same annoyance of Wilder and devotion to the Corporation. Because we have jobs to do Wilder, that's why. Apparently you're small brain can't comprehend that, Jace answered dryly. I would also be careful how you speak of the leader. He has ears everywhere. The dark haired boy added meaningfully.

Wilder picked up on the fact that Kaycee was flirting with him. He might act like an idiot most... okay, all the time, but he wasn't that stupid.
Nick rolled his eyes. Girls! Such a waste of time. He glanced over to see that Jace had done the exact same action, and he felt his mouth tug into a smirk. Well, at least they had that much in common. He also felt himself noddinh along with what he said to Wilder. He agreed. He didn't need to say anything more. Jace pretty much covered it all.
Wilder had been about to reply to Kaycee, but now Jace's words had his attention. Man, you all really do need to get out. It was a joke, dude. The insult didn't bother him in the least. It just made his grin grow.
Then Jace went on about how he should be careful how he spoke about Dark Angel. He chuckled. Well unlike you all, I'm not afraid of him. It was true. Everyone else kissed up to him and acted like disobeying him was the ultimate sin. Really though, Wilder wasn't scared of him. Not in the slightest.
And besides, I wasn't speaking badly about him. I was merely commenting how everyone is always so desperate to find him. It's not the end of the World if you don't. He was still smiling, his face resembling that of a cute 5 year old. And I'd rather have fun. Who wants to work all the time? Just saying fun won't kill you either. He turned to Nick. He was well aware he was getting on the other lackey's nerves. Right buddy?!
Nick's head snapped around and he glared at Wilder. I'm not your buddy you twit!

Kaycee's eyes narrowed. She didn't appreciate being ignored - especially for her brother. But she would wait. Wilder would speak to her soon enough and if he didn't, she might just amp up the flirting.
Jace ran a hand through his dark black hair and sighed exaspertly.I don't really DO jokes. He answered cooly, Not to mention, you should be afraid of him. Fear equals respect, something which you should learn to give to those who deserve it. He paused and caught Kaycee's eye, who winked back at him when he said his next comment. Torture is fun, Wilder. And if Nick agrees with me, I'm sure he would enjoy testing it out on his "buddy." He looked at Nick as he attempted a small joke. Unusual for Jace, but it was a chilling humor and the only style he would ever try.

Yah, I sort of noticed. Wilder said in response to Jace saying he didn't do jokes.
Ah, respect. I do show it, just not in the ways you guys. And I show it to those who deserve it. He was still grinning, but his tone wasn't as light and humourous as it had been before hand.
Torture? Really? Not scared of that either. I mean, you'd have to catch me, and I'm sure I can out run you guys. Not in his current form he couldn't, but he could easily shift into a cheetah and that would be all he needed. He leaned back against the wall, an easy smile on his face, showing he was completely relaxed.
At the mention of torture, Nick's head snapped in Jace's direction. By the look on his face, you'd think Christmas had come early for a five year old.
At Wilder's comment he rolled his eyes and stuck a finger our and poked Wilder in the ribs, sending a shock of electricity through the other mutants body. Wilder jumped, but didn't say anything else, except to resume his easy stance when both feet were back on the ground.

Jace merely shook his head. It was obvious he would not be able to get through to this incompetent fool but at least he had found someone else who resembled him in Nick.
Perhaps. But how far would you get? I'm not sure the DA lets his workers leave that easily. But your behavior is your own which explains its stupidity. Jace finished easily.
And then the shock happened. Jace turned to Nick with an expression of curiosity written all over his face. What was that? Your gift? Mine is alike, if I am correct at what you do. He said, not bothering to hide his own talent from Nick. If the Corporation wasn't safe for him to speak such things then he wouldn't be there.

Wilder only half heard what Jace said, but he got the general idea of it. He flashed Jace a big grin, but he didn't say or do anything more. Yah, he realized he had just been insulted, but he was never one to let little things like that get to him.
Nick felt a smirk cover his face at Jace's reaction to him shocking Wilder. Had Dark Angel not told everyone what everyone else could do?It would appear not, otherwise Jace would not have been asking.
He looked over at Jace. Something like that. He said. Although he knew he could trust Jace, obviously if Dark Angel allowed him to join the team, he wasn't sure if he felt like releasing this information quite yet.
And I'm well aware what you can do. He said, still smirking. Dark Angel knew he didn't have to bother telling Nick what the other recruits could do. Afterall, Nick would sense their powers as soon as he met them anyways,

Jace turned his back slightly on Wilder, facing Nick who was far more interesting. Especially because he seemed to know things Jace did not. But again like Nick, Jace kept to himself and he didn't press the short sentence yet. It wasn't like it really mattered if knew what Nick meant right now or not.
Kaycee on the other hand, turned to Nick as well. She had been watching Wilder silently, sifting through ideas on how to manipulate him but Nick's comment caught her off guard. Are you? She asked him, ignoring Jace's look of "shut up Kaycee." She knew that one too well. Do you know what I can do?

Wilder stuck his bottom lip out in a childish manner. Everyone had stopped paying attention to him and were now focusing on Nick, who seemed so much more fascinating. He didn't actually mind, he just wanted to see if they'd flip out over this one little move.
Nick felt his smirk tighten. They seemed interested in what he knew, and what was the way he liked it. He closed his eyes, sensing her power and then opened them again. You're a hacker. You're a genius and can break any access code and lock.
He hadn't really processed it. He just said what came to mind once he had sensed her power. Hmm.... Impressive. He couldn't help commenting. It was definitely a power that Dark Angel could benefit from. And the best part, in Nick's mind anyways, was now that he knew what she could do, he could do it too.

"What is with all the noises in the Room of Records?"
A woman crashed the door as she entered into the room that the others were in. She seemed to be in her late twenties, with dazzling violet eyes and long, curly hair showering down. She was in a white lab coat, her fleshy lips were holding a cigarette as she forcefully kicked her way into the room with a red '#' mark jumping on her forehead. As for her hands, one of them is holding a cup of coffee while the other one was in her lab coat's pocket.
Yes, she was destroying her image, but how could you expect for a scientist to work when everything was so noisy. She could god damn hear them from twenty miles away. She was Esther Al'Wynarn, a senior member of the Archangel Corp's research department. Of course, she also took care some of the more... troublesome things. Be it people, or things. She made them disappear.
Her eyes became sharp as she scan each one of them, but as soon as she saw Wilder, she took a step back. "Don't you dare come within 30 feet of me, Wilder Carleton. Your demeanor sickens me." Then her eyes darted to Nicholas, and then to the twins. She knew all of them, since she was one of the earlier members to have been seek out by the DA. In fact, she knew each and everyone of them. History, abilities, and their general personalities. Interesting subjects for observation, all of them. If you do not add their personality into the mix.
"Nicholas Collins, Kaycee Hunter and Jace Hunter. Aren't you three supposed to meet with the head? Why are you still here?" She looked at each of them, clearly irritated for the fact that she was interrupted by the noises that was generated from the room. Although the Room of Records was a singular entity, she was actually within one of the cells within collecting raw data from the system. "And I suppose that YOU, Wilder Carleton, had nothing ELSE better to do?"

-I'm changing her speaking color to orange. Blue is too dark on this skin...-
Jace's eyes betrayed that he was impressed by Nick but it was only fleeting and disappeared almost as quickly as it had come. He had just been about to say something too... when the door opened and an intruder walked in like she owned the place.
Kaycee crossed her arms across her chest. Though she had dared him to know her gift, she hadn't really anticipated him figuring it out. But when he complimented her on it, she couldn't help but feel flattered. I think so. Kaycee answered in her usual modest fashion. But I'm... and she too faltered in speech when the door crashed open.
Jace raised one eyebrow at the cocky newcomer but as usual said nothing. He knew her barely, just through the means of his sister, but she apparently knew his name. He didn't draw attention to himself, but stood his ground, as he easily let Wilder take the heat.
Kaycee on the other hand looked directly at her partner. The two both worked in the research facility of the Corporation and actually were sort of a team. Though that was something Kaycee would never admit. The DA isn't here, Esther. She said impatiently. And as I'm sure you know, when he disappears only one person can find him. Cymir. What are you doing here anyway? She asked, fixating her gaze disapprovingly on the cigarette Esther held.

Nick wasn't too impressed that the conversation was interrupted. He recognized Esther. He was practically Dark Angel's right hand man, so naturally, Nick made it his business to know who walked in and who walked out of Archangel Corporation. And he didn't take too kindly to the tone she was taking with them either. Mainly because he hadn't been called Nicolas in years. More specifically since he had lived at h-.... with his parents. He had to mentally correct himself. He didn't say anything, but he was sure the angry glare on his face said everything.
Wilder couldn't help but take a little bow at Esther's disgusted tone towards him. Yah he had just been insulted, but he felt sort of honoured too. Everyone at the Corporation knew and recognized him. And he enjoyed being recognized. Okay, it wasn't the same kind of recognition Nick got, where everyone knew him because of his status and power and the guy practically demanded respect wit his presence, but still, Wilder would take what he got.
When Esther accused him of having nothing better to do, he shot back up, standing with perfect psoture. Yup. Sounds about right. Bored out of my mind and was looking for a little entertainment. He looked around at the other three and gasped jokingly. Look! I found it! Entertainment!

Esther merely smirked more at Nick's face as she blurted even more insult. Of course, it doesn't mean that she really meant him harm, but he needed to be... trained for a bit more. If he couldn't even take a little psychological warfare, then he might as well shut up for the rest of his life. Only the strong will survive. "I'm sorry if I injured your little self-esteem, Nick. But if you could be intimidated in such a way, then perhaps the DA would like a new right-hand man."
Then she briefly turned to Kaycee who was telling her that the DM had just gone missing again. He merely shook her head while she took a sip of the black liquid in her mug. Ah, fresh grinded coffee. "Then expect him to be back with a few more recruits or new missions once he return. The DA will not disappear without a trace without a reason."
"As for why I'm here..." She pointed at her back, it was a small study room that was linked to the records room. There was a small table and a chair, set up with a computer and a stack of reports on the desk. "... I was doing my job. You figure those 'scientists' could be a bit more organized in whatever they do. Unfortunately, organizing was that single trait they were all missing."
"If you NEED entertainment that much, Wilder, I don't mind providing it for you..." Her eyes stared at the youngster as she smiled sweetly. Very sweetly.
