The youth quickly lowered his body, and successfully dodged the bolt of sizzling electricity that was slithering its way through the cold, dank air and slammed itself to a wooden barrel behind him. Some of the debris still hit him hard at the back, and with a muffled cry he rolled about five feet away from the black char. Panting, he rose his head, and his emerald green eyes met with a pair of misty whites. He gritted his teeth as he whispered his magic word.
"Book." And at the same time, a black book appeared in his hand, opened and ready to tumble. The athletic woman dressed in a body-tight suit looked at the teenager with amusement, her round and fleshy lips curled up into a grin as her white eyes merely stared at him. She put her right hand at her hips and her left one pointing at the young man, and her finger beckoned him.
"What are you afraid of, hun? Poor, lil' ol' me?" The woman's voice was sweetly addicting and alluring. The cold wind blew outside of the warehouse by the dock district, carrying the smell of the seas, also carrying the long curly white hair of the woman by her shoulders. She was no doubt, in most men's book as a sexy, sultry woman. but for those who know her, they knew that this woman was more than just tall, dark and dangerous.
She was a killer. Literally.
Both sides wait for each other to make a move. Noel was slowly regaining his composure, but he was no where near his top condition. He knew he should had never accepted this transportation contract! But the reward was just too darn good!

Kaycee and Jace appeared from the darkness of the docks as if they had been shadows themselves. They moved in sychronization, as twins and as partners. Jace made his way as silent as a cat behind Noel, preparing to catch him if he turned and ran, despite his obvious exhaustion.
Kaycee slithered up beside the woman and tapped her on the shoulder. Thank you Clarisse. We will take it from here. The DA will reward you handsomely for your contribution, you have my word. The other woman nodded in response and with one final wink at Noel, disappeared into the night as if she had never been there.
Hello there, Kaycee whispered soothingly. Charm dripped off the girl like honey. But one could sense behind that cover was a ruthless killer and a damn good one at that. You have something my master is in need of. Why don't you be a nice boy and hand it over? I wouldn't want my partner to hurt you. She spoke the words calmly with just a hint of forcefulness. Behind Noel, Jace had only his normal cold expression - no mercy there. If Jace had his way, violence and torture would be the first move and talking politely would be plan B.

The youth was able to regain his composure and much of his senses, sweat continued to trickle down from his forehead down to his cheek, then to his neck. He had never been in so much trouble as he was careful enough to avoid all direct contact with his employer. It seemed that somehow information must have leaked, and now he was being chased like a wounded puppy by a rabbit wolf. He could hear someone coming from behind, but he dared not twitch. He was afraid what even such a small movement would trigger from the one from behind and the blue-haired woman that had just arrived.
"Your master? Ha."
Noel forced a smile as he bit his lips. He was outnumbered and outmatched. If he was in his best condition, he could try to slip away from these two. Unfortunately... He wasn't. Not to mention that the woman named 'Clarise' was bound to be out there somewhere. She wasn't the kind that would take orders so directly as he could feel that wildness within her. But in this condition, even just one of these two could probably rip his life away.
Damn it! Where were they?! They were supposed to be here hours ago to take that item of importance from him. Not only was he ambushed by another mutant that was capable of shooting electricity like no one's business, and now these two here was over powering him without much of an effort. He was never in such a condition before, and the power that he could invoke right now wasn't too useful either. He was trapped. Think! There must be something he could do! What Leon would do in this kind of time... Then there was a flash of inspiration.
"You promise you will let me go if I give you the thing?" He looked at the woman, no confidence was showing from his eyes as he soothed down the rate of his breathing. It was truly a sign of weakness.

I can arrange a meeting with him for you, not a problem. Jace whispered menacingly behind Noel.
Kaycee pouted slightly. She had expected the kid to put up more of a fight than this. But his fear was obvious in his eyes as they darted around the circle, begging for an escape. She would take what she could get this time, but only because the package was so important to the DA.
She held out her hand for the package. Absolutely. She promised with a tilt of her head. Unfortunately unknown to Noel, Kaycee's promises usually meant squat unless she specified her word was given. Behind him, Jace caught her eye and moved a fraction closer, in case Noel tried to bolt.

Then the fear turned to joy. The conditions were ripe for the spell to take effect as the sun finally submerged enough into the deep horizon as the shadows stretched over all of them. The two thought they had control of him, they had no idea... The two spells that was etched on his book's pages were Shadow Double and Mirror Image. Although Mirror Image doesn't provide a good enough cover since the illusions can be destroyed pretty easily, but Shadow Double is another entirely different story. He was lucky that not only had he had both spells 'researched' and prepare for use, the book also had them side by side since the book choose how the spells would appear after he had written it on them.
As the girl held out her hand, he gulped as he put his right hand under his coat and pulled out a yellow envelope, the kind that office used. It wasn't too large, but just large enough for a twenty-pages document to be put into. He handed it over to the woman but at the last moment, he had his spells activated as the envelope dropped onto the floor.
Then at the same time, Noel seemed to darted away in eight different directions. Yes, that was right. There were eight Noels and each of them darted to different exits in a smooth motion. All of them looked as real as the real one, indistinguishable.
[OOC: The envelope contains 20 pages of blank papers.]

(I assumed the copy's could speak and move and feel pain so that's what I went off of)
Kaycee snatched the envelope off the ground. It had all happened so fast and she definitely didn't see it coming. Angrily, she turned to her brother who was holding one of the Noel's by the scruff of the shirt. Luckily, he had been able to catch one before it got to a door.
Did you know he could do this!? She hissed at her twin.
I've told you a million times Kayc, I can only tell that he is a mutant. Jace answered dryly. But I bet this little worm can tell us something new, he added with a bit more enthusiasm, shaking the struggling Noel duplicate.
Kaycee rolled her eyes and decided to allow Jace to deal with that one. He's clever all right. I'm assuming this is a fake, she held up the yellow envelope. But I figured I could search it before he escaped. Not that he was ever planned to escape. Don't worry Jace, we'll find him. All of him. She finished maliciously.
Jace nodded, a small smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. You get a head start to the North and I'll check South when I'm finished with this one. He concluded, giving the copy's neck a slight squeeze. Kaycee gave a quick nod and stepped out of the way of Jace and the duplicate. Suddenly, she spread her hands apart and every door leading into a warehouse burst open from her power. That should help. Call me if you get stuck. Good luck. Kaycee said brusquely and disappeared into the night.
Jace on the other hand, threw "Noel" to the ground roughly. He sat on top of him, grabbing his wrists and pulling them up in the air uncomfortably. Now, He growled in the copy's ear. Tell me where your copier is and I won't electrocute you slowly and painfully....

(OOC: Jace is in for a big surprise. XD)
The Noel that was caught and was being grabbed at made a wry and dry smile towards his would be torturer. Although the original shared the same vision and hearing as him, the original also had some power over this copy. "The original told me to say hi if I'm caught." The clone smiled brightly as his hand quickly molded into the air and shattered into a million pigments, shortly followed by his whole body. And before the clone's face completely disappeared, he left a grin towards Jace...
On the other side, the real Noel had barely escaped as he almost had a run in with the other 'electric shooting woman' that was with the twins. She was apparently sitting on one of the docking platform gazing towards the setting sun but he slipped through just as easily because she wasn't paying attention.
Noel was lucky because he had temporary fused both spells into one, making the mirror images capable of suffering some damages before it would dissolve into the air. Now, he hid behind the walls of another warehouse and under the cover of darkness. Whatever. He had to leave now and contact his employer later that his mission had failed. Big time. The subject was not delivered though it was never his fault to begin with. At least he should deliver this thing to the secondary location where he was instructed to.
The darkness was settling in, and he looked at his Book. He could recognize the next two things that came up: Shadowskin and Daylight. And he started to curse under his breath already. Just his luck, he was trying to get AWAY, not drawing attention all over himself? He could use the Daylight spell as a temporary distraction, but it would make him even more obvious. He didn't wear black today for nothing.
Decisions, decisions.
Suddenly, there was a huge BAM coming from the warehouse where he had just escaped from. The woman immediately turned her head from the sunset and towards it, and she quickly went away towards the warehouse. "Lucky." He whispered to himself and continued down the path unnoticed and quickly into the bushes overlying the surrounding areas. As long as he could get into town he should be safe for the time being... and then he should send this item to Xavier's Institute...
If he survive the pursue. He could already feel the other clones waning away into the darkness.

Jace slammed his fist into the pavement and snarled. Idiot. He growled, though he wasn't sure if he was talking to himself or the disappearing mutant. He stood up slowly, dusting off the gravel from his dark jeans and glaring deep into the darkness as if he could see through it. I'm coming for you kid. Prepare yourself. And Jace disappeared into one of the warehouse's Kaycee had opened for him.
Kaycee herself had already discovered the same thing Jace had. She had caught two clones already and had them slip through her fingers in nanoseconds. But as she walked into an empty warehouse, she wore a satisfied smirk. Jace had caught one already, that made three. That left approximately 4 clones and one moron left if she wasn't mistaken. And she hardly ever was, considering her high intelligence.
Speaking of that, Kaycee's ears picked up movement in the foliage behind one of the warehouse's. Could be a squirrel but this was not the time to go for a maybe. She took a step closer and cocked her head, listening for breathing.

Three down, four more to go. Well, less than that number if he was caught first. He could feel his connections to the clones were really wearing down. Just a few more minutes before his false clones completely disappear, and he had to use whatever stuff he had to get way before everything had settled down. He stopped as he activated the spell that was on his spell book.
Shadow Skin.
Instantly, he could feel an icky feeling covered him from head to toe, and when he looked at himself again, he was completely black. The spell would provide him temporary concealment as soon as he didn't make any too obvious actions and sounds, not to mention the black skin itself could stop a few bullets or two before the spell was broken or expired. He flipped the page of his book, and another spell came up.
Persistent Image.
And he grinned. In times of need, he could create a few images that might be of use to him. He continued deeper into the bushes as he melded into the shadows under the trees and bushes. Time was running short, and he better move quickly.
On the other side, all the clones disappeared...

Jace had come round the warehouse to grab a bouncy clone but it had disappeared right in front of his eyes. Instinctively he knew that the distractions were no more. Grinning to himself, he turned the corner and in front of him was Noel. The boy was covered in some sort of muddy substance and leaves had stuck to him but it was most certainly him. His reflex shot out a bolt of lightning that hit Noel's back. It didn't seem to hurt him that much and Jace had to assume that was the goops fault.
At that perfectly timed moment, Kaycee saw Jace and the lightning bolt and skipped throught the foliage to stand at Noel's front. When he looked at her, she simply smiled sweetly and deadly.

"Shoot." He muttered to himself as he feel the connection with all his clones had disappeared. Moments later, he sensed the air trembling and before he knew it, he was forcefully blasted from where he was standing. He could even feel the slithering electricity stinging all over his body as he flew five feet over the air and landed on the dirt face first. Instinctively, his right hand reached out first and with grace, his fall turned into a roll.
Although the consequences were a bit dire, since his book left his hand and dropped not far away from him. He gritted his teeth as the Shadowskin spell slowly wore off and he realized he lost his ability to use his powers. Things were looking bad, really bad. Before he could actually picked his book up, a figure appeared right between him and his book...
The female smiled as sweet as honey, but he knew underneath that facet was a deadly venom. He slowly got up, shifting his glances from one towards the other. Only now he had noticed how similar both of them have looked like. They were twins, and he could feel a slight tinkling in his heart. Something called...
Jealousy.
"You got me... But still, you think I would really give you what you want?"

Jace chuckled darkly and grabbed Noel's wrists, pulling him to his feet not too gently. The darkness that had saved him from unconciousness was now gone and the kid was trembling, he could feel it. Really? Jace himself had been kidnapped before and he had been alot stronger than this. Emotionally AND physically.
Kaycee leaned down slowly at the waist, but kept her eyes on Noel's, watching his reaction as she picked up the small book that had landed near her feet. A small flicker in his eyes was all she needed. She pocketed the object with a smile of satisfaction and trailed her fingernail across Noel's cheek, leaving a tiny trickle of blood behind her. Oh absolutely, she purred. I don't think us getting information will be a problem. Shall I get the van brother? She asked Jace, turning away from Noel.
That would be nice, Jace agreed. The kid was struggling now. Angrily, Jace kicked him in the pocket behind the knees, dropping him to a kneeling position. You're in our territory now. His whisper was chilling. Kaycee shot Jace a look of appreciation for his methods and skipped off into the bushes. Finding and bringing the company van should only take a few minutes and she had no doubts that Noel would be in more pain when she got back.

Damn it! I should have been a lot smarter than this! Where did everything gone wrong? He asked himself as he saw the spell book was taken away from him by the woman as the taller -- and stronger male tugged him roughly. He could feel the pain coming from the joints but he didn't show any signs of weakness. He went through too much before becoming what he was today. Living alone without any outside help for some years has its benefits.
He tried to shake the male's hold off him, but all he got in return was a hard kick behind his knees, causing his body to collapse. He also heard the male whispering into his ears, but he would try as best as he could before submitting himself. I don't care. He shot it back to Jace. I had erred when I had accepted the errant, And then he grinned.
I'll just have to destroy it before I hand it over. It is as simple as that, don't you think? He was gambling. He was betting that someone would send help over because what he sent seemed to be pretty important. Important enough for the Corps to send over three powerful and skilled mutants to hunt him down. It would be a long shot but looking at how things were looking, He could do nothing but take this shot.
He was a Transporter. If he failed his mission AND let the object to transport fell into the hands of his employer's enemies, he would be doomed either way.

Jace had to hand it to the guy. He wasn't as much weakling as he had first assumed- almost brave. But stupid. Anyone at the Corporation could tell you that you don't mess with the twins. Actually their victims could tell someone the same, if they weren't all buried in the dirt far away from here.
Good luck with that, Jace said darkly. He didn't usually show signs of amusement but the boy's pitiful attempts to salvage his mission brought a cruel smile to his lips.
Kaycee shined the lights of the van on Jace and the prisoner like a spotlight. The Corporation van was a nice piece of equipment- Kaycee had helped design it. It was white all over except for the fake advertisment on the one side for some cleaning company. Inside though, it was a masterful display of technology.
Up front was the standard driving necessities - steering wheel, brakes, gas, etc. There was also a GPS and tracking system, video surveillance for the back of the truck with sound, and a hands-free phone system with a direct line back to the corporation. In the back was a complicated strap-in system for holding captives. A strap around the torso, Straps for both wrists held above the body and the straps for the ankles. The only humane thing was the prisoner could sit on a bench while being strapped in but that was also made of metal and not entirely comfortable.
This was what Noel was strapped into as soon as Kaycee slid open the back door. Jace didn't hesitate to throw in a few extra jabs as the other mutant struggled and soon he found himself staring smugly at the prisoner. This is only the beginning, Kaycee murmured as she looked him over, making sure the system was secure. Oh and feel free to talk to us, she added over her shoulder with a deadly smile. We can hear you and you can hear us... if we let you. And she flounced away into the driver's seat. Jace stood there for a moment, eyeing Noel. Then with a quick motion, he punched the youth in the face - leaving behind what would eventually turn into a black eye. That's for tricking me with your copies. Never cross me. He finished and slammed the back door shut with a dangerous glint in his eye. The van roared to life.

He was wounded and captured. What was the next thing that was going to happen to him? Torture? When he took the job, he knew the risk. Looked like it came to the worst part. It seemed like he had to risk everything now... Everything he had been working for. Without another word, he smiled as he looked at the twins. "The worst thing you could do was strapping me in you van. Now, I will proceed to make your life as worse as mine."
He grinned, his green eyes flickered with the light of madness as he gazed into the twins' cold eyes. He had prepared to have himself killed, although he wondered if this was for the sake of his mission. Maybe he was doing this for his own selfish reasons? "Maybe you could even taste what it felt to be left behind... alone." His statement directed to maybe one, or maybe both of the twins. Even he himself didn't know.
"Leon... I'm coming, brother." He muttered softly and, without warning, the chair he was strapped into disappear --- and the whole van disappear, and with a smile, Noel landed onto the ground on his back, but quickly stood up and lashed a few steps away from the twins. His hand, which used to be empty now carried a black book. The same black book that Kaycee thought she had kept safe in her pocket. She should had never stand with him in the same van.
He took a quick glance to the book in his hand as he flipped it open. And he smiled as his finger began to be surrounded with a sparkling, glowing blue orb. He looked at the twins as he gave them a grin. He had never grinned like this before, as it was filled with the taste of...
Finality.
