personality;; Tasmine is a very active person. Her life, most of the time, revolves around her gymnastic classes and dancing. This has a large impact on her personality- she is very driven, very willing to do what it takes to get things done. She believes in herself, believes that she'll be a great dancer, one who the world will know. She is also known to be very kind and understanding- she is an animal activist and, generally, a person for humans to turn to in times when they need comfort. She loves animals, it seems, more than the common stranger. But with a brother like Zach, she tends to befriend many people in due course.
Tasmine is not one for too much change. She enjoys routine and consistency, but on the other hand, spontaneous actions seem to brighten her mood, to relieve her stress so there is a fine balance there. Sometimes even she needs a break. Tasmine seems to think that everyone expects her to be perfect as she expects herself to be. This puts a lot of stress on her that she often struggles to cope with. No matter how good she is, people can always tell her to do something different, to be somehow better, and they always seem to forget to compliment her before pointing out another mistake, another flaw. But Tasmine seems to enjoy her constant striving, her constant purpose. She also enjoys just relaxing and getting to know people, though she isn't often the kind of person that just sits around idly.
history;; Tasmine was born in July.Her father was Justin, her mother Katrina. She had one brother, Zachariah, and no sisters. The life she was raised in was nothing to complain about. Zach was two, nearly three years her senior but the age difference only seemed to make him love her more. They were close enough to understand each other, but far enough that they were different and interesting to one another. Taz admired her brother, she wanted to be just like him.
Tasmine's mother was a very kindhearted lady. She supported Tasmine's interests and really wasn't one to push Tasmine one way or the other. She let her try things- like, playing the flute, taking karate, learning the piano, learning the guitar like her brother. In the end, she didn't stick with any of those things, and instead of being mad her mother merely asked, 'what next?'. So Tasmine was put in a gymnastics class because she wanted to learn how to do flips, as she put it. Tasmine was always much more physical while her brother tended to lean toward the musical, artistic pursuits in his free time. He loved music with a passion and he did stick with years and years of piano classes and he did learn the guitar from his father and a private tutor when he was five onward. He also pursued physical activities such as karate.
Like his sister, he didn't find it nearly as amazing as it had sounded. So he dropped it when she did, and he spent his time learning combat tricks from his father. When he got to school he joined the wrestling team as well as countless sports teams- anything they offered, he was a part of. He excelled as she excelled at dance, both for the same reason- Tasmine and Zach had a secret. They were able to take things slower than the other kids, they were able to move faster, to correct their mistakes before anyone noticed, and to see the mistakes of others before anyone else did. They often saw things that were too quick for anyone else to notice at all. This was also why Zach loved music- it came easily, he had more time to think about what he was doing while he was learning, and then when he got the hang of it, it was all a matter of habit that his fingers fell in the right places at the right times.
Zachary used his power for another purpose, too. He had a way of saving people, of seeing potential for disaster and acting on his feet. There were countless instances where someone was about to fall from somewhere high up, and there he was to save them. Sometimes he caught them, sometimes he managed to get up to where they were to keep them from falling. Either way, his actions earned him the name 'Guardian Angel', a title he wore with a fair bit of guilt. He wasn't that amazing, really. But Taz disagreed. She rarely if ever used her power to save people- it just wasn't something she thought about, it wasn't her first reaction where as Zachary did it almost naturally. That was something she truly admired about her brother.
Zachary and Tasmine were loving siblings, the kind that get photographed at their cutest moments. Only, Zachary and Tasmine didn't have a lot of time or reason to argue with one another. Zachary spent so much time with his father and with his sports that he really didn't spend enough time with his sister to get on her nerves. And Tasmine was always dancing or at gymnastics class or up in her room practicing. Or, with friends, or helping out at the local shelter. She kept herself busy. Sometimes she would watch Zachary at his sporting events, but normally there was no point. She knew he wouldn't lose and it became so routine that even Zachary's trophies weren't much of an accomplishment to anyone anymore. But Zachary couldn't stop- they all knew it. It was his ticket to college, it was his claim to fame, it was his life after high school.
After Zachary became famous for his heroics and his superior skill when it came to sports, rumors of his father began to spread like wildfire. In fact, people began harassing Justin, Katrina and Tasmine when they weren't trailing Zachary. By this time Zachary and Tasmine had several younger siblings, all of which managed to follow their sibling's lead and pursue random fields of interest. There was never a shortage of things to do or places to be, and one could always find someone else to help with some project or some other problem they had. Zachary and Tasmine loved their siblings, they loved helping them and being the older sibling. It seemed to come naturally for the both of them. And yet, neither seemed to form a real bond with the little ones because they spent so little time with them and because they had each other.
The rumors spread by the newspapers and tabloids was that Justin was involved in drug trafficking and other gang related stuff. Zachary took it personally and he went around complaining about how this was just the latest sensational story. But when Justin insisted they take a walk, Zachary was different when he came home. It was, in Tasmine's mind, as though he had been told something that made him understand everything. Zachary was seventeen, going on eighteen, and Tasmine was approaching sixteen. So Justin and Katrina told their two oldest children, the only two with abilities beyond humans, that they would be moving out. Tamine and Zachary didn't argue. Justin and the rest of the family moved away, leaving Tamine and Zachary to their dancing and sports respectively. They stayed with friends, they stayed with family, they stayed even with teachers. Neither ever complained until a random day right before Zachary's birthday- nearly two weeks before it. Zachary declared that he was through with this, that he was going to go to a small town called Bayvillle. Tasmine wasn't going to be left behind, so she agreed to go with him to the town she'd never heard of, leaving behind the life of an aspiring dancer in favor of a new start with her brother.

power(s);; Tasmine's main ability is the same as Zachariah's- she can 'slow down' time and move faster than a normal human could. Like Zachary, this process does make her world go black, almost as if she had gone blind. But also like Zach, she can see outlines of movements. It's like a slow motion outline of a comic- she can see each movement as it subtly varies. Tasmine can also see and speak to shadows that appear while using her powers and while not.
