Liliana walked through the brass doors of the Corporation and into the main foyer. At 3 in the afternoon, it was a busy place. The younger ones were getting out of school and looked happy about it. The older ones and favorites were already hard at work. Each was mesmirized in their own activity and she had no doubt it was all for the glory of the Dark Angel and his society.

Lily spotted people she knew among the crowd and debated going over to their corners to join them. Kaycee had grabbed a chair and no one seemed to be fighting for it, out of respect clearly. She had her laptop on her lap naturally and was typing away quickly but with a light smirk on her perfect lips. She looked preoccupied, so Liliana turned away and noticed Kaycee's twin brother Jace. He was sitting on the floor with him arms behind his head and eyes closed. He wasn't saying anything but those around him kept a wide birth. Lily instantly knew this was not out of respect but of fear. Jace had never scared her personally but she was a little intimidated about striking up a conversation with him.

She scanned the large foyer that held nearly fifty people right now for sure for her Nick but frowned when she couldn't see him. He was normally in this area so Lily could only assume he was hard at work somewhere else. With a sigh, she clutched her laptop more closely to her chest and found a small wall space to sit against. At least this way, she wouldn't be squished by anyone.

-I felt like replying, but decided to give her a break from Nick lol-

Wilder crawled across the ceiling, his eyes scanning the room, though it took him a little longer as everything was upside down. Of course, nobody saw him. Who would think to look on the ceiling for a spider?

For some reason, the room was oddly busy. Why didn't people go out and get a life or something? Oh well. He shrugged his thoughts away, clearing his brain and scampered back across the ceiling and began the long journey back down the wall.

He was almost halfway down the wall, when a new presence in the room, Nick's girlfriend, Liliana. He veered off to the side and made his way over to where she had settled down and continued on down the wall.

He waited a few minutes, on the wall above her head, as she turned her computer on and it loaded up. Then like he had practiced, the spider form he was in grew quite large, far larger then any other bug you'd find anywhere, and the spide head turned back into his human head. He peered at the screen over her shoulder, but didn't see anything too interesting.

Lily! He yelled in shock and as though he had just caught her doing something very bad... well as far as bad went in the corporation. Why are you looking at naked pictures? He said overly loud, so several heads turned to look at the pair, some in amusement, others in disgust or annoyance.

Of course the screen was blank, as it was still loading, but he was bored and well, Wilder did find interesting ways to entertain himself... and he was curious as to how she would react. Nick would fly off the handle and beat him into another dimension. He wanted to see how his much calmer girlfriend would handle such a situation.

Lily jumped momentarily at the sound of her name and immediatly looked up. A soft pink blush filled her cheeks when Wilder shouted innappropriately at her. She could feel eyes on her and thought through a million ways to handle this. But only one would work.

Her eyes found Wilder's up on the ceiling and held them there with exasperation.
Hello Wilder, her mouth curved into a slight smile. It seems you had a few responses on that dating profile we set up online. Although, they all dabble in porn it appears. How does that shake you? Lily's witty response gave a few muffled chuckles.

Knowing she could never really embarrass Wilder, Lily used her telekensis to move her laptop out of the way and patted the ground beside her, indicating Wilder to sit beside her. Unlike her boyfriend, Liliana didn't hate the youth. Sure, he was annoying but sometimes he was funny. And he would keep her entertained until Nick came back.

Wilder felt a grin spread across his face at her response. She didn't reply with aggression. He liked that. He looked around to see everyone had gone back to their business. Fun was over... For now.

When Lily patted the ground beside her, he allowed the rest of his body to transform back from spider in human, and he gracefully he slid down the wall until he landed beside her and sat down next to her.

Heya Lily! He said cheerfully, smile still plastered on his face so he looked like a fool. Well if all those woman are for me, pass the computer back here so I can get another look! He made a grabby gesture for the laptop.

Lily shuddered as his body changed and tried to shake the image of a giant spider with Wilder's head out of her mind. Thankfully, he was a human again but there was no doubt he noticed her creeped-out reaction.

Playfully, she pushed the laptop back with the power in the palm of her hand further back. Sorry Wilder, they aren't prepared for you yet. No one ever is. She joked with a twinkle in her eye. What are you doing here today anyway? She asked lightly, not being able to remember the last time she had seen Wilder hanging around the Corporation.

Wilder grinned in amusement when she shuddered. Guess she was afraid of spiders. He'd have to remember that should Nick ever cross him the wrong way.

Lily pushed the laptop away and Wilder crossed his arms, sticking his bottom lip out in a sulky manner, looking a lot like a five year old. He could only hold this pose for a couple seconds before he smiled and looked back at Lily. What do you mean? You know I live here, right?

Lily was amused by Wilder's numerous facial expressions. He switched so easily from happy to pouty then back to enthusiastic. Her face wasn't so flexible but at least she didn't usually betray too much in her eyes. Except to Nick. Nick could look at her sideways and know exactly what she was feeling.

Yes... she crossed her legs and raised one eyebrow. But last my darling boyfriend told me, you were out doing some shenanigans for the Dark Angel. That was um, two weeks ago? What brought you back? She asked curiously.

Wilder couldn't help the snort that escaped him. Nick? Darling? He was sure anybody else who had heard those two words together in one sentence would chuckle.

He frowned in concentration remembering that mission he had be given a couple of weeks earlier. Oh yes. Yah, but that was two weeks ago. I'm way done now. It was easy. He said it as lightly as possible.

The mission hadn't been that easy, actually it had been rather difficult, but he couldn't admit that. He didn't really have that much of a reputation here... well he was known for being loud and annoying, but he didn't need to be known as a coward or a weakling either, even though anyobody in the same situation probably would have found it hard too.

So what's Liliana been up to? He asked, keeping his tone friendly, assuming he hadn't pissed her off with the Nick jab.

Lily herself had to grin at Wilder's snort. Alot of the Archangels found her and Nick's relationship puzzling but she thought it was pretty straightforward. Then again, she did have a biased view.
He's not a robot, Wilder Carleton. She used his full name but her eyes were sparkling happily and she wasn't mad at him. I can't wait to see you with your first girlfriend! She teased.

She nodded as he spoke, not sensing she needed to dig deeper. If he said it was easy, she would just let him think that. And if it wasn't.. it's not like it was her business anyway.

Liliana is good but tired. And she hasn't seen a lot of people she cares about lately and misses them. How is Wilder?

Ooooooh full name. I must have really crossed the line. He teased. When she made the comment about his first girlfriend he laughed. No way! Women are weird and confusing and corrupt men. I'm quite happy to be single. More fun that way... if you get what I'm saying. He winked at her. Wilder's good. Been going about his usual self. You know, provoking Nick as often as possible to keep things entertaining.

He patted Lily's shoulder in response to what he said. He could be sympathetic when required. That's too bad. Dark Angel and Nick not giving you enough time off?

Liliana laughed and then shushed herself when people looked over at them. She turned on Wilder with a coy glance. You do realize you're sitting next to a woman right now right? She giggled and touched her neck where she kept the necklace Nick had given her for her birthday last year.

Nick is going to kill you one of these days. Figuratively and literally, probably. she mused. Everytime Nick complained about Wilder's antics, Lily had to wonder when her boyfriend would crack and actually carry out one of his many threats against the other Archangel.

His tap on her shoulder made her smile gently. It's me actually. I never really give myself a break She admitted.

[Phoenix]

Wilder glanced over at her, shock on his face, as though the fact she was a woman was news to him. Yah, but I guess you're alright... for a girl anyways. Plus you're taken, so I don't have to worry about you trying to get as cutesy and clingy and obsessed over me.

and as for Nick, oh he's tried many times to kill me already. Never seems to work. I always manage to dodge or avoid or something. Plus, I don't think Dark Angel would appreciate my death very much. I guess he finds animal shifters useful.

Wilder laughed when she admitted to working herself too hard. So what, do you need orders from a superior to give you a break? He puffed his chest out and said in a serious and deep voice. Lily, I order you to take a break! He stuck his finger our and wagged it at her, as if this would have some sort of impact on her.

[Sparrow]

Lily narrowed her eyes doubtfully. Oh, sure. Like any girl would get obsessed over you. Keep dreaming boy! She joked with a giggle. Oh, She added. Just be thankful that the Dark Angel cares. You're lucky.

Liliana's smile filled her face at Wilder's interpretation. Allright sir, she played along. I promise I'll try. Now put that finger away! She said, unable to stop herself from smiling.

[Phoenix]

Wilder smirked, not quite looking like himself. Oh, you'd be surprised at the girls who fall over themselves to get near me out there. He gestured to the window, clearling indicating any girl who wasn't part of the Corporation. I think they find my antics cute or whatever.

Don't try. Do. Take a break. Everyone deserves one you know. And no, I'll point my finger wherever I want! He threw his finger in her face for a couple seconds, but suddenly wagging his finger around wasn't all that fun so he lowered it into his lap.

Liliana raised an eyebrow in disbelief but her smile was friendly, not malicious. I guess there are some desperate girls out there.

Lily sighed and bit her lip. Wilder was right, though she hated to admit it. She did need a break but wasn't sure if she could force herself to take one. Ok then Carleton, how do I go about taking this "break" you speak of? She asked him, using her fingers to emphasis the quotes.
