Kaycee and Jace Hunter stood on the cliffs, overlooking the vast expanse around them. Jace lifted his head to the slight breeze above them, dark hair fluttering just slightly. Something is coming today. I feel it.
Kaycee just tsked at him and paced. It's all in your head, foolish brother. She said impatiently. The other Archangels were late for the group meeting. And Kaycee was positive nothing more sinister than their own kind would arrive today. But Jace wasn't looking at her impatient glance. He said nothing to her comment but instead looked up at the sky, completely missing strangeness of the small brown sparrow with violent blue eyes flying above him.
Sparrow flew in circles over the two suspicious characters. Something odd was going on at the cliffs and he was going to find out what.

Sin; Sinclair wasn't thrilled to be here, but since the incident with Sparrow, there was no doubt in his mind that he'd be on the Archangel's side eventually. It was still unpleasant to approach the cliff and find Kaycee and Jace already there. They were the two people he had most wanted to avoid! But no matter. He gave a sigh of mild defeat, more to himself, then continued his walk so that he stood near the two. He wasn't going to say anything, they were bound to have heard about his acceptance of the offer. He'd just walked through the doors, said he wanted to join their cause, and then he'd hid in the room they assigned him, praying silently that no one bothered to come check on him. And, as it so happened, that first day they didn't. So now he was going to be part of this big secret meeting of the Archangels. It did make him feel sort of important in an odd way, a way that he liked, but wouldn't admit to liking. It was nice to belong, at any rate. Cy; Cymir probably shouldn't have been at the cliffs, but when an Archangel, namely Sinclair, had left the Corporation with the excuse that he had a meeting, Cymir was curious. So he had followed, much to Sinclair's dismay. Cymir knew it'd probably be boring, but he liked the idea of groups, and he wanted to know what kind of meeting they'd have outside. He knew of the meeting room in the Corporation, so why not use it? When he reached the cliffs, he grew steadily more anxious. The cliffs were scary! What if he fell? He decided that he'd avoid the sides- that'd solve his problem. He did so by standing by Sinclair. And since he didn't tell Cy to go away, Cy took it to mean that he didn't mind. {Desi isn't yet needed, but I will find a way to bring her in if the post goes in a direction that she'd be useful. She'd probably be better off coming in at the end to pick up the pieces but I'll make that decision later.}

The young man hid behind an ancient and huge tree. In his hand was his black book as he stared at the two figures at the cliff from his hiding place. He wasn't sure WHAT those two were doing there, but he was definitely not in a mood for another encounter with them. Those two would kill him slow and painfully if they had discovered he was hiding here. Well, he could run away to make things less difficult, but the fact that there were no other hiding places for him to run to made things much more difficult.
He looked at the two spells prepared for him by the book. Fireball and Mirror Image. Useful in other situations but not when you want to be subtle. He gave a light sigh as he sat at the gigantic trunk and looked up into the sky. There was a cool and gentle breeze...

Rae, of course, was actually there already. She had just climbed down the cliff face a bit to sit on a ledge to sketch. It was wonderful for ideas, nature was. At least, until she heard the voices of some of the other members. She sighed, somewhat annoyed that she had to climb back up for the meeting, but, nonetheless, slipped the small notepad and pencil into her coat pocket, then climb up, hauling herself over the edge and back into sight of the others. This did not mean she actually stood up, though. No, she stayed cross legged, right near the edge. She glanced over at Jace and Kaycee, nodding.
He's right, you know. I can feel it too.

It was just going to be a routine flight. Just a little bit of fresh air, stretch his muscles in the form of a bird. He'd even gone through the trouble of focusing for minutes on end until he managed to shift and gain sight back in his left eye, at least until he changed again. But that group, ever growing, seemed rather suspicious. His brown eyes scanned them, all the while appearing as his traditional american kestral form, nearly colliding with his brother, distinguished only by the flash of blue eyes he saw as he swerved out of the way, to avoid a collision.

-Haha I love how everyone hates the twins. XP Awesome. PS who wants to start this rally?-
Jace nudged Kaycee slightly as Sinclair joined the already growing group. She turned and her eyes narrowed when she caught his glance. Haughtily, she tossed her hair and promptly turned her back on him. Jace just glared at Sinclair until the other boy dropped his gaze. He had always won staring contests.
Taki leaned against the tree's hard surface. His arm was loosly cuffed to a branch near his head and his butt was getting sore from sitting on one of the tree's thick branches. The stupid Archangels had chained him hear, knowing he would never be able to get down and of course, hear nothing of their meeting. Despite Tak being a captive of theirs for two years now, he was only allowed the information the DA said he could. Taki had only ever met the DA once before... but that was the only time he ever wanted to. The man terrified him, unlike his lackeys who just annoyed and beat up on Tak because they could. Tak's thoughts were interrupted by a movement in the bushes below. Hello? He called down curiously, but not loud enough for anyone else to hear.
Kaycee, of course flirting with some random other Archangel who was looking her up and down like a hungry wolf, did not even notice the girl sitting by the edge of the cliff. Jace, making a mental note to kill the flirtee with the eyes on his sister's chest, looked over at her almost instantly. He glanced at Kaycee and decided she was too preoccupied to notice his absense. Jace made his way over to Rae and knelt on the ground, his favorite sitting position for it was the easiest to jump up from in case of attack. You feel that? The normally antisocial teen repeated. Most people don't.
Sparrow caught the brown eye of the other bird and nodded to himself. Definetely Falcon. The sparrow flew beside the kestrel and tilted his head toward the group. Though they were out of practice, Sparrow and Falcon could usually communicate fairly well via their bodies when shifted. All Sparrow wanted to know is whether they should try to get closer to the group.

Sin; Sinclair wasn't worried about Kaycee's reaction. Not even Jace's unimpressed attitude could upset him. He wasn't here for them, and he wasn't that interested in the two, anyway. They were a deadly duo who he knew better than to mess with unnecessarily. And, besides, Kaycee's interest in him wasn't something he was going to admit to missing. So he decided to avoid talking- the only other person he could talk to was Cymir. And a seven year old was not good company by any means. Now, to be fair, he knew Moirae a bit. Not enough to know her name, just to recognize her.
And the other people around him? Well, he didn't seem to care much about them. He also didn't feel the need to engage any of the archangels that had arrived already- whether he was an archangel or not, he didn't quite fit in and he knew it. That was his doing, anyway. He knew what the Archangels were about, he knew that they weren't pure evil, he knew that they just had a different set of beliefs. But he'd joined them just to be against the X-Men. This definitive motive, which solidified a more founded, deeply felt conviction that the Dark Angel's cause was something he should believe in, seemed to characterize him among the other members of the team. He didn't mind, he wasn't going to lie to them anymore than he was going to make them like him.

NOEL
He was going to lay low and wait for all of them to leave. It seemed there were even more people than he had first anticipated. To tell the truth, all he wanted to do for the day was to get some fresh air, but now... Even getting some fresh air would make things difficult to him. He let out a helpless sigh as his head hung low. If only Leon was here, I wouldn't be in such a mess... He thought to himself as he made himself a bit more comfortable by resting his back on the rough surface of the tree with his eyes closed.
It was going to be a long day...
" Hello?" His head shot up and quickly looked to his left and his right. He wasn't expecting anyone here, more or less. But he didn't see anyone as well. The tree was large enough to shield him from the 'bad men' seeing him, but that also meant that he shouldn't move freely less he wanted to be discovered.
Then a leaf fell on his nose. He looked up, and the edge of his lips began to twitch to see a black-haired boy sitting on one of the larger branches above him, looking down. And for one, he looked extremely familiar...

An almost sadistic smile crossed Rae's lips as Jace crouched near her, asking her to confirm what she'd already stated. She chuckled a moment as she nodded.
Oh, yes. Sort of a side effect, you could say.
She didn't mention of what. If he wanted to know, he'd ask. That was her philosophy. She glanced around the cliff, not seeing a particularly annoying face(Wilder), and being somewhat relieved. Of course, it probably wouldn't be long. And there was always the chance he was one of those birds up there, though she only knew the were there b the shadows. She never once bothered to look up.

Falcon snapped his beak open and shut quickly, signally an obvious 'no'. A falcon and a sparrow flying together? That was bound to raise suspicion. Not to mention, if it did, there were far too few of them to even stand a chance. He let himself raise higher on a thermal, then looked out towards the Institute, then glanced back over at Sparrow, drifting toward it slightly. They needed back-up, and it wasn't like Falcon had any useful friends. Sparrow, though, he was sure would have many.

With a *poof* a thoroughly pissed off Nick appeared. In his raised right arm, he was holding a black cat by its back right leg. I'm finally here. He gritted through clenched teeth. Sorry I'm late, but Dark Angel insisted everyone be present. Including this- He gave the cat a shake. Moron.
And then he realized how bizarre he must look. They had probably already figured out who the cat was, but they were also probably wondering why Wilder was a cat at this point in time. Don't ask. He muttered to the unspoken question.
The cat shifted back into Wilder at this point. Wilder had both his arms crossed and had a fairly calm look on his face, considering he was being held upside down by one of Dark Angel's favourite lackeys, and possibily one of the most powerful ones at that. You know you can let me down now? Wilder said. He wasn't grinning anymore, but he didn't look the slightest bit worried or annoyed.
With a grunt of disgust, Nick dropped Wilder's leg. Although he had asked to be let down, he didn't think Nick would do so, so readily so he fell to the ground, landing awkwardly on his back.
He took a moment to orient himself and then sat up, brushing dirt off his shoulder. So what's this big secret meeting about anyways? He asked, sounding like his usual chipper self.

Kaycee winked at Nick with a purple eye-shadowed lid as he appeared. She knew how much Jace admired his gift and she too was impressed by his knowledge of the rest of the Archangels. Not to mention, he was hot. And Wilder was... well, Wilder was just annoying and she groaned her disgust at seeing him as she stepped forward towards the group.
We are here because the Dark Angel has asked us to be. We need to begin our purpose. All we have been doing for the last weeks, months, and perhaps years is talking about the future and recruiting new members. Well, now it is time to rise to the occasion! The X-men must be convinced that we as mutants are the natural leaders of this world! And if they do not join us, then they will be in the same predicament the humans themselves will be in. Her eyes glinted evilly at the sentence and she did not need to imply anything else for the meaning to get across. Now, who is with us! She called out, rallying the large group of mutants together.
Jace, sitting next to Moirae on the cliff, chorused his acceptance with the rest of the group. He had just been about to reply to Rae when Kaycee had began the meeting. He would just have to wait till after. But first.. Jace craned his neck around to check on Taki. The little brat couldn't be left alone but at least he was still in the tree. Satisfied, Jace stood up with a nod at the girl and pushed through the excited crowd to get to his sister. He tapped her on the shoulder and whispered in her ear since he didn't really enjoy talking to people. Kaycee nodded and with a gentle tap on Jace's arm yelled loudly to get the feisty mutants' attention once more.
I realize you are all very eager but please wait a moment. We need to hear each other out if we want to be a sizable threat. Does anyone at all have any ideas on how to begin this war? She called out, glancing around the faces that surrounded her.
Meanwhile, Sparrow had understood Falcon's gestures and was following him on the thermal. As they glided back over the Insitute, Sparrow realized just how serious the situation below them had gotten and how much back up they would need. Perhaps the majority of the Institute.

Sinclair was not amused. He didn't bother to answer Kaycee's call for who was with them- if he wasn't, why would he be here? So, he held his tongue and merely watched the others. The question she asked next which was whether or not he had any ideas, well. . .He wasn't so sure he wanted to answer that, and even if he had wanted to answer, he wanted to know what was on the mind of others before he would share his own thoughts. And if it turned out that he couldn't get any ideas out there between all the others, well, so be it. He wouldn't be upset by that. He'd just be happy to get a feeling for what the others were capable of.
Cymir was noticeably startled by the word she used. War? "This is a war? No, no, why. . .Why a war?"Cymir murmured as he looked up at Sinclair.
Sinclair looked down at him curiously. He didn't realize that? Children, so innocent. . .Sinclair took the little boy's hand, offering a small smile.
"It's alright,"He stated softly, hoping to reassure him."Here, let's get out of this crowd, I'll explain," when everyone's not staring at me for speaking aloud, his mind added helpfully.
Cymir didn't take the time to walk to the area Sinclair intended, the break in the crowd toward the edge of the cliff. Instead, he made the two of them disappear and reappear in that place only to find that about ten feet away was a girl who hadn't yet moved to be in the group. Cymir glanced at her, then looked away, watching Sinclair.
Sinclair was shaken by their sudden disappearing act, but he didn't let it show.
"Right, sit down."Sinclair told him before the two of them sat down together. Sinclair's voice lowered so that he was practically whispering to the seven year old, trying to ensure him that everything would be okay, that the word 'war' was a bit strong, and that he'd be safe.

Thirteen-year-old Peyton truly was not your typical archangel. For one, she was not an alpha mutant like most of the others. Despite her undeniably great power and superior intelligence, her mutations caused her skin to be tainted with light blue. Although it was not by an means an ugly mutation, it permanently marked her as an enemy to the human public. Secondly, while the others whispered ominously about a bad feeling in the air and mingled with each other, Peyton kept to herself and was a little bit occupied... picking flowers, with pink ribbons in her blonde braids and a white dress that glowed with chastity. Peyton Gabriel, the sinister and psychopathic sister of Sinclair Gabriel, skipped across the hill with a brown woven basket. It was filled with her pickings, some wildflowers and some dandelions. At the bottom of the basket was her notorious pink binder, filled with hit lists and potential master schemes for world domination.
What an idiot, Peyton thought to herself as she noticed from the corner of her eye that Wilder had joined the group. Knowing that no one was paying attention to her at the moment, she dropped the sunshine act for a second and rolled her eyes. Then, in the very same moment, she resumed the bright smile and went back to skipping. Even though the Archangels knew and accepted her secrets because she was truly an asset to their cause, she had to keep up appearances, just in case anyone was watching. And besides... it was sort of a pretty day, and the flowers were nice.
When Kaycee commenced the meeting, Peyton immediately ceased her skipping and paid attention. She made her way over to the group and listened. Kaycee was one of the very few people in the Archangels Corporation and in the world who had her respect. They were both geniuses, they had many common goals, and they both believed that the ends justified the means. Kaycee was worth her time, even though Peyton was acutely aware that Kaycee was just as dangerous as the psychopath herself...
"We are all with you, Miss Hunter," Peyton said with her sinister eyes contradicting her sweet smile. Again, even though Kaycee knew full well that 'sweetheart' wasn't exactly an accurate description of little Peyton, appearances were necessary at all times.
As Kaycee asked if anyone had ideas, Peyton almost impulsively whipped out her binder and began spouting out step-by-step strategies, but she restrained herself and waited. It was to her benefit to hear everyone else's ideas before she began shouting out her own, so she looked around waiting as well.

"Ta-Taki? What are you doing here?" He gasped in surprise as he saw the familiar face above him. He was apparently chained to the tree, and he didn't notice it until now. Had he lost his alertness to such a degree that he didn't notice such a thing until now? But he was trembling... Not trembling in fear, but in excitement. He took a glance at the group of people before quickly hid himself deeper into the bushes.
All of them must be from the Archangel Corps. That means that he would be hunted down like a wounded dog the moment he was discovered... and he wouldn't even have a chance against their superior number. He flipped his book's page, and a useful spell appeared.
Telepathy. This spell allows two-side telepathic communication between two people. He targeted Taki and executed the spell.
"Taki, can you hear me? Why are you here?" The surprise was still apparent in his telepathic message directed to Taki.
ESTHER
She stood among the other Archangels, this time in her dark hood and cloak. It was not like she had nn fashion sense, but she was compelled to act this way when outside the corporation. She would like her identity to remain a secret. Because a woman with a secret is a real woman. Esther listened to the girl's little speech, and she must admit the little girl was talented, but she was not a bit interested.
She herself had listened to the speeches of the great old timers. Not even the great Nazi leader, Hitler's speech had motivated and moved her, and how could someone so... young, could comprehend? But still, this 'secret war' would be waged whether she liked it or not. She just hope that the superhumans and supernaturals would keep their butts out of this one.
If not, she wouldn't mind using her power to full effects.

Rae didn't move and in fact, ignored the 'pep rally' speech that opened the meeting. It was only when the question was asked that she finally decided to bother to take part.
Might I remind you of what we've got going in the lab? Cause, last I checked, that was the plan.
She noted, one eyebrow raised curiously, wondering why everyone always seemed to forget about their rather prevalent progress with the sins and virtues.
The last tests actually worked, if I remember right.

Falcon followed, and going to land on the grass and shifting just in time to continue moving at a walk, although not nearly as smooth as it used to be. The change in vision still threw him off a little but he recovered quickly, not hesitating to simply open the door to walk right in, despite not living there or being one of them.

Nick remained silent during Kaycee's little rally. He opted to crossing his arms and leaning against a nearby tree. He silently observed everyone, and everyone's reaction. He didn't feel the need to voice his dedication to Dark Angel. The man trusted him, that was all Nick needed. He didn't need the approval of anyone else.
Wilder remained seated where he had landed, though he was more then recovered by now. When the other's yelled their support to the Dark Angel, Wilder said nothing but raised his arm and waved it around to show he was with them. He then lowered it when Kaycee asked if anyone had ideas of how to start the war.
Nick glanced around at Kaycee's question to see what the others thought or would say. He had to resist the urge to roll his eyes. Dark Angel already had a plan and was about to speak, but then Moirae spoke, and he closed his mouth, saving himself the trouble. It's true. The Dark Angel demonstrated the results. Nick had seen for him very self the power of this plan, and in his opinion, it was flawless.
Wilder bit his tongue for the very first time in his life. He had been about to ask about the plan, but he knew he'd look pretty pathetic if everyone else knew about it, except him. That and it would just show to everyone else how much he was on the outs with this group. Though he had never done anything to prove he was disloyal to the group, he also hadn't done anything to prove his loyalty either. That's where the problem with him started.
He let his eyes wander from person to person, checking to see if there was anyone else who was as clueless as him, though he was sure if anybody else was, they wouldn't be showing it on their face either.
